ree

Hundreds of people gathered at Independence Visitors Center in Philadelphia to celebrate the honorees of the 2025 City & State Who’s Who in Labor on Sept. 10. The honorees are the Pennsylvanians who champion a workforce powering health care, infrastructure, education and other sectors, including Philadelphia Youth Network’s (PYN) very own President & CEO Wendy-Anne Roberts-Johnson.

“We are thrilled Wendy-Anne was honored for her relentless work in providing and advocating for sustainable career pathways for our city’s teens and young adults,” said PYN Board Chair Tracee Hunt. “Having a front seat to her time at PYN has been incredible. She is a resilient and collaborative visionary—and she is only getting started!”

In its 25-year history, PYN has been a leader in connecting young people in Philadelphia with career development opportunities. Our programs have fueled career success for young people aged 12-24.

Under Wendy-Anne’s leadership since April 2024, PYN is utilizing a holistic approach in supporting youth with education, hands-on career development experiences, and professional development programs while coordinating capacity building for both systems and investors that support youth workforce development.

Wendy-Anne has a total of 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience including previously serving as Executive Director of Need in Deed, an education-focused nonprofit helping public school students create solutions for issues in their communities while building academic, social and emotional skills.
