PYN's Career Development programs offers young people ages 14-24 opportunities to work in different career fields and develop critical skills necessary to grow in an increasingly competitive economy by engaging them in meaningful employment throughout the year.
Depending on the opportunity, young people can earn $1,000+ for participating in roughly 120 hour experiences.

Becoming A Youth Employer Partner:
Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN) is seeking employer partners who are ready to open their doors to the next generation of talent. By becoming a Youth Employer Partner, your organization provides mentorship, job shadowing, and hands-on work experience for young people ages 14–24
Our intensive workforce development programs typically consist of 6–8 week seasonal cohorts, facilitated in collaboration with PYN's Business Engagement and Career Coaching teams:

PYN handles applicant pre-screening, hiring, and both prerequisite and ongoing professional development for youth participants.

Employer partners provide a supportive worksite, hosting youth for meaningful, hands-on experiences that introduce them to your industry.
Together, we create opportunities that connect young people to career pathways while offering employers the chance to mentor, inspire, and invest in the future workforce.
What Employer Partners Provide:

Hands-On Experience: Host youth for 6-8 week paid work experiences. The worksites we target are usually office environments, hands-on jobsites

General Job Shadowing: Opportunities designed to expose youth to potential career paths and different industries.

Skill Development: PYN's career development are opportunities meant to enhance crucial skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management.

Networking Opportunities: Opportunities encourage youth to connect with mentors and professionals who can provide guidance and support.
What PYN Provides:

Youth Payments - Depending on age, worksite, and hours worked, young people can earn $1,500+ for participating in a PYN paid work experience. Priority is given to worksites who are willing to pay for their own interns!

HR / Payroll Support - PYN provides recruitment, pre-screening, enrollment, and payroll services to all young people in our programs.

Professional Training - Access to the WorkReady professional development series for youth and employers.

Training + Professional Development - Training for your employees, including worksite coordinators and supervisors, on working with youth.

Networking and Exposure Opportunities - Exposure in the region through marketing materials, websites, and other promotional and media publications.
