My first day of Professional Development as a new PYN intern made me feel nervous at first, which is something many of us experience when starting something new. As soon as I walked into Curtis Hall, the staff were so kind and welcoming which allowed me to feel comfortable.

Long before computer screens and Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems existed, workplaces called "drafting rooms" were filled with rows of desks, large sheets of paper, mechanical pencils scratching across blueprints, and engineers carefully calculating measurements by hand.

Last week, Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN) hosted an exciting “Shark Tank”-style entrepreneurship event as part of its afterschool programming.
