Girls INC
Girl's Inc.'s Mentoring Young Women in Construction (MyWIC) camp aims to provide girls with a hands-on experience to learn about the construction industry. During this camp, girls explore and develop basic skills in the areas of carpentry, electrical, painting, and other trades. Girls experience the exhilaration of successfully performing tasks that promote leadership and team-building, build self-confidence, self-esteem, and boost overall self-image. The girls are introduced to female role models who have achieved success in construction, enabling them to envision new possibilities for themselves in this camp. MyWIC partners with several local trade unions in the Philadelphia area to make this camp both educational and rewarding.
