An experienced nonprofit leader with a strong record of success, Roberts-Johnson previously served as the Executive Director of Need in Deed and as the Executive Director of The Workforce Institute, as well as Senior Director of Community Based Services and Out of School Time Operations Manager, all at Public Health Management Corporation.
Roberts-Johnson earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Temple University. She currently resides in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia with her family.
With a senior executive background in financial management forecasting and analysis; and accounting operations, Karin joined the Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN) in 2015 as the Vice President of Finance and Administration. In this role, Karin is responsible for the financial operations of PYN in support of the organization's core functions. In doing so, she manages the organization's accounting functions; budgeting; cash and investments; capital assets; accounts receivable and payable; payroll and benefits; leases and compliance with government reporting requirements, among other tasks. Karin also administers the organization's contracting process for its consultant and provider agreements, contracts and subcontracts.
Prior to joining PYN, Karin served as the Controller at the Princeton Junior School, a private, coeducational school for children in preschool through fifth grade. In this role Karin managed the independent audit processes and oversaw the preparation of federal and state tax returns in conjunction with the auditors. She was also a member of a task force responsible for identifying potential cost savings that would not significantly diminish the overall program offering, which resulted in more than $225,000 in annual cost savings.
Karin is affiliated with the American Institute of CPAs and New Jersey Society of CPAs. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Rider University.
