Over 225,000 opportunities have been created in Philadelphia by PYN with our partners.
Partnership fosters creativity, strategy, and new ways to achieve sustainable impact. At the core of our partnerships is a common goal to ensure young people have access to education and employment experiences. Over the years, these collaborations have resulted in a system of services that has created opportunities for over 225,000 young people in Philadelphia.
In 2020, we achieved record contributions, opportunities, and impact through our dedicated partnerships. More than 45 employers made up our employer network and of those 45, 23 directly served young people. We worked with 80 program partners to operate more than 100 programs and were supported by more than 50 public, private, and philanthropy organizations along the way. By the end of the year, we had employed 6,000 young people during the summer and over 1,000 young people during the school year. Even during a pandemic, we were able to illustrate why partnerships and collaboration are vital cornerstones of PYN’s success.

PYN’s Board of Directors has initiated the Request for Proposals (RFP) process to identify an executive search firm that can assist and facilitate the recruitment process for a President and Chief Executive Officer.
The Executive Search Selection Committee will be comprised of PYN’s Executive Committee members and key personnel who have been nominated at the request of the Board Chair.

PYN’s partner initiative Skilled Career Pathways for Young Talent meets employer talent needs by preparing Opportunity Youth (young people ages 16-24 who are out of school and work) for employment in the healthcare and tech sectors.
