Youth Enrollment Specialist, R&E (Seasonal)

The Enrollment and Retention Specialist is a member of a seasonal team and a critical player in ensuring the successful implementation of the lottery. The Enrollment and Retention specialist will ensure that participants randomly assigned to participate in WorkReady Summer will complete the enrollment process and successfully be placed in a position. This person will work closely with the Lead Provider Liaison to coordinate with our network of over 60 providers across the city to support their enrollment efforts. Upon completion of the enrollment process, this person will coordinate with providers to ensure that participants complete their placement.


This position requires a flexible schedule, including the ability to travel throughout the city and work evenings and weekends, as needed, beginning March through the end of June.

Customer Service Specialist (Seasonal)

The Customer Service Specialist is part of a seasonal team designed to support the implementation of WorkReady Philadelphia’s summer program. The Customer Service Specialist will primarily be responsible for the management of the youth hotline and email system in order to provide customer support to those interested in connecting to and participating in WorkReady Summer 2017. In addition, the Customer Service Specialist will work collaboratively with the Communications and Marketing team to share accurate and consistent messaging related to WorkReady and PYN. The Customer Service Specialist will also assist with in-person inquiries as needed.

Evaluation Specialist, R&E (Seasonal)

The Evaluation Specialist is a member of the Research and Evaluation Department and primarily responsible for the successful implementation of the WorkReady Summer evaluation. In Summer 2017, PYN is partnering with researchers from the University of Pennsylvania and J-PAL (out of MIT) to study the long-term impact of participation in a summer job. This rigorous evaluation includes a partial lottery system for determining who is placed in a job.

Business Partnership Specialist

College Success Instructor

The College Success Instructor will support youth throughout the Post-Secondary Bridging program, with a particular emphasis on developing curriculum aligned with the Back on Track Through College framework from Jobs for the Future (JFF) and delivering a 12-week college preparation course to each cohort of youth served through the program. The Instructor will also support other team members in providing individualized advisement and coaching to participants completing a dual enrollment experience.
