The job titles and descriptions listed below are general examples of job duties and functions for youth in specific industry areas. If you do not have a job description developed, please select from the options below. You may expand upon the job description before interns arrive at your worksite.
All of the following duties will be performed in cooperation with an assigned supervisor, and/or in coordination with other members of staff. Additional duties may be assigned.
Common skills recommended for all youth:

Meet and Greet Session
The purpose of this session is to forge relationships with school based staff that will enhance implementation of the program. You will review program guidelines and logistics. Also included are break-out sessions for employers and assigned school partners to coordinate means of communication for the duration of the program.

Interviews
Employers will interview candidates before making final intern selection. Interviews for the school-year internship program will take place at your worksite unless otherwise arranged and will occur between 3pm and 6pm in late November through December. Once your worksite is connected to a school, the school coordinator will work with you to arrange the specific interview dates.

Worksite Visit
All worksites must be visited by a PYN representative prior to the WorkReady Internship program beginning. A completed Worksite Agreement will be signed and collected at this meeting. Please identify two dates between October and January and times that are convenient for you. The Business Partnership staff will do our best to accommodate one of the two selected dates and will otherwise follow up with additional suggested dates. |
