Type: Program model: Access points, case management and year-round programs for out-of-school youth and formerly adjudicated youth
Description:
E3 stands for Education, Employment and Empowerment. There are five E3 Centers, located throughout the city, which are designed to help members achieve long-term educational, career and personal goals. They offer basic skill-building experiences for youth that have dropped out of school or are returning from juvenile placement as well as ongoing case management services.
The Centers primarily serve youth seeking to improve their skills and work toward long term self-sufficiency. Each Center is designed to serve a minimum of 270 youth annually. To meet the skill-building goals of participants, E3 Center services are organized into three pathways: Educational Services, Employment Readiness, and Empowerment Activities. Upon entering a Center, all youth are assigned an advisor who works with that youth and his or her family to facilitate the achievement of educational and employment goals.
