A nationally recognized leader in youth workforce development, the Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN) is a non-profit organization that serves as a catalyst for collective action by developing and delivering models that change systems and improve educational and economic outcomes for youth. Our vision is that all of Philadelphia's young people will take their rightful places as full and contributing members of a global economy.
To purse this vision, we support a range of programming that occurs in three primary settings:
In the workplace
(e.g. WorkReady internships offer career exposure, connection to caring adults, and on-the-job experience in businesses across the region.)
(e.g. Student Success Centers help youth design their post-secondary readiness plans and coordinate services within neighborhood high schools.)
In the community
(e.g. GED-to-College programs help youth who have dropped out of school build the skills and make the connections they need for college and career success.)
These are just a few of the program models PYN has helped to develop. Our services for these and other efforts include program design, employer coordination and supports, advocacy, fundraising, data management, committee staffing, contracting with program providers, and quality control.
